Refer another institution. If they become a paying customer and complete their first year, you receive $500 credit on your next renewal.
How it works
Three conditions, $500 credit, no fine print.
If you are a current paying Solin Early Warning customer and you refer a colleague at another institution, you can receive a $500 renewal credit.
The credit is issued when the referred institution completes its first paid year. The credit is stackable, but it is capped at the value of your next renewal — we discount the next bill, we do not pay cash.
Who can refer.
Any current paying customer at any tier (Small, Pro, or Institutional). The referred customer must be a net-new customer at another institution.
How we track referrals
Two valid ways. Retroactive claims do not count.
A referral is tracked when either:
- the referred prospect names you in the signup form, or
- you make an explicit introduction before they sign up
Examples of explicit introductions include a cc’d email, a meeting introduction, or a Moodle™ Partner hand-off.
On disclosure
Tell your colleague openly. Transparency is part of how we work.
You can — and should — tell your colleague that you may receive a renewal credit if they sign up. A recommendation between professionals is at its strongest when it is open about any benefit attached. We have seen vendors get cute about hiding referral incentives; we would rather everyone involved knows the deal.
Conditions
Plain rules, no fine print.
- Self-referrals are not allowed.
- Referring your own subsidiary, department, or shell entity does not count.
- The referred customer must complete the first paid year.
- If the referred customer cancels during a cooling-off period, no credit is issued.
- If you cancel your own subscription before the renewal credit applies, the credit is forfeited.
- A referred customer can still use the early-adopter first-year discount if it is available.
Why this exists
The cohort intelligence features become more useful as more institutions participate. A referral from an existing customer is more valuable than generic advertising. The renewal credit recognizes that.
