Plain-language terms for the Dashboard and related services.
This page summarizes the commercial terms for Solin Early Warning. Contract wording may differ for Institutional customers, but the principles below are the default.

The free Solin Early Warning Block is GPL software and remains free.
Currency, VAT, and billing
USD primary, EUR equivalent at invoice stage, by invoice.
Prices are listed in USD. EU customers see an EUR equivalent at invoice stage. Other currencies are available on request.
EU business customers are handled through the reverse-charge mechanism where applicable. Dutch customers are charged 21% VAT.
All paid tiers are billed by invoice. Readiness Scan and Calibration Review are one-off services and are billed before delivery unless otherwise agreed.
Renewal and license scope
Annual subscription, one license per production Moodle™ instance.
Dashboard subscriptions renew annually. Cancellation requires 30 days’ notice before renewal. We do not use silent price increases. If pricing changes, we announce it before renewal.
For Small and Pro:
- one license covers one production Moodle instance
- test and staging instances do not require separate licenses
- a separate production Moodle instance requires a separate license
For Institutional:
- the number of covered production Moodle instances is defined in the contract
License lapse
Dashboard stops refreshing. Free block keeps working.
If a Dashboard license expires:
- Dashboard aggregation stops refreshing
- Dashboard pages show an expired-license notice
- scheduled exports stop
- notifications stop
- cohort intelligence stops updating
- the free Solin Early Warning Block continues working
- existing data in Moodle is not deleted
Data processing
Free block makes no outbound calls. Dashboard requires a license heartbeat.

Optional features may use:
- institution-level aggregate benchmark data sent to Solin
- notifications sent from your Moodle directly to a Slack or Teams channel you configure (Solin services are not in the notification path)
- support information supplied by the customer
Student names, student IDs, and student-level risk lists are never sent to Solin services through the plugin.
We provide a standard GDPR data processing agreement and return it signed within 5 business days of request for Pro and Institutional customers. If your procurement team requires changes or its own template, we review that as part of the sales process.
Source code
The free Solin Early Warning Block is GPL and publicly available.
The Dashboard plugin is GPL software too. Source code is provided to license-holders on request. The licensed commercial value is the right to use the Solin services connected to the plugin, such as license validation, cohort intelligence, and support.
Refunds
Unless otherwise agreed, Dashboard subscriptions are not refunded pro rata after the paid period begins.
One-off services are not refunded once delivery has started.
