We start from what the evidence actually supports
The research on gamification is genuinely mixed, and the elements sold hardest, generic points, badges, and competitive leaderboards, are the ones most often linked to what goes wrong: learners gaming the system, a novelty spike that fades, and demotivating everyone who isn’t near the top.
So we design for the habit, not the scoreboard, and we’re honest about the line. Gamification reliably builds consistency, belonging, and momentum; it does not, on its own, make anyone better at the subject. We only recommend it where a regular rhythm genuinely makes sense.

The habit loop
A per-learner streak counter with a flame and day count, streak freezes, gentle “you’re about to lose your run” reminders sent only when a streak is actually at risk, and a friendly per-course leaderboard. It lives right inside the course and natively in the MoodleTM app.
A design that earns attention
Gamification on MoodleTM usually looks functional at best. Ours doesn’t. The streak, the leaderboard, the dashboard, and the whole site are styled to a standard you’d be happy to show a customer, on web and on mobile.
